Tools

Privacy.

Every tool on this site runs inside your own browser. The files you open, the text you paste and the images you edit are processed on your machine and never uploaded to me or to anyone else. There is no account, no login, no analytics and no cookie. This page lists the few things that do happen, so the sentence above can be checked rather than trusted.

Last updated 31 August 2026.

What never happens

  • No file, image, document or text you work on is sent to a server. There is no upload endpoint on this site.
  • No analytics, no tracking pixel, no advertising, no fingerprinting. I do not know that you visited.
  • No cookies. The site sets none and reads none.
  • No third-party fonts or scripts on page load. Fonts and code are served from this domain.
  • No profile of you exists, so there is nothing to sell, share or lose.

What stays in your browser

Some tools remember your preferences so they work the way you left them. That data is written to your browser's own storage (localStorage and IndexedDB), on your device, and it is readable only by this site in this browser. It is never transmitted.

  • The light or dark theme you picked.
  • Per-tool settings, such as the last paper size, editor font size or formatter options.
  • Substrata, the image editor, keeps an autosave of your open document, its layers and a thumbnail cache in IndexedDB so a closed tab does not lose your work. Your images live on your disk, nowhere else.

Clearing this site's data in your browser settings removes all of it at once. If you use a private window, it is discarded when the window closes.

The exceptions, named

Document converter. Its conversion engine (pandoc, compiled to WebAssembly) is about 58 MB, too large to serve from this site. The first time you run a conversion, and only then, your browser downloads it from the public CDN unpkg.com (opens in new tab), operated by Cloudflare. That request carries the same information as any web request, principally your IP address, and carries none of your document. The conversion itself still runs on your machine. Nothing is fetched until you press convert.

Text to speech. The tool uses the voices your browser and operating system provide. Most are synthesised locally, but some vendors ship voices that run in their own cloud (certain Chrome and Microsoft voices, for example). Which kind you get is decided by your browser, not by this site. If that matters, pick a voice your system marks as local or offline.

Outbound links. A few tools offer a link out, such as the EXIF viewer opening a photo's coordinates on OpenStreetMap. Nothing is sent until you click, and once you do, that site's policy applies.

That is the complete list. If a tool ever needs to talk to another service, it will be added here on the same day, with its name.

Hosting

The site is served by a hosting provider. Like every web server, theirs keeps standard technical logs, which can include IP addresses and the pages requested. Those logs belong to the host and are part of running a server, not something I collect, read or use.

If you email me

Writing to me is the only way your information reaches me, and it reaches me because you chose to send it. I hold your message in my email account so I can reply and follow up. I do not add you to any list and I never share or sell your details.

You can ask what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Send that to iamshank99@gmail.com. Because the only data I ever hold is email you sent me, it is usually a short conversation.

Children

The tools are general-purpose utilities and collect nothing from anyone, including children. There is nothing to consent to and nothing to withdraw.

Changes and contact

If anything on this page stops being true, I update it the same day and change the date at the top. Any privacy question goes to iamshank99@gmail.com. I read and reply myself.
